Tips and Tricks
These are some useful tips on beading in general that I learned the hard way, so save
some time and learn from my mistakes!

1) When buying plastic beads, always make sure that they look durable. You get very
beautiful plastic beads but some look "cheap" and if the beads look "cheap" your
creation will look "cheap" too!
2) When making Earrings, try not to use heavy glass beads. Heavy materials will make
them uncomfortable to wear. Try using decent lightweight plastic materials instead.
3) Before you start making something you should arrange the pattern on your beading
board. This way you should have an idea of the end result and you can easily alter the
creation's design and color scheme to perfection.
4) Always try and keep the colors of your beading pins, toggles, clasps, and chain
uniform for every creation. Perfection is in the detail!
5) When making Customized jewelry always get the person you making it for to give you
the correct measurements and design accordingly!
6) If you are designing for young kids, rather use the sturdier "lobster clasp" as
"toggle clasps" thend to come loose easily when they are active.
7) Always work in a well-lit area. Color is essential to your design and the lack of
light might influence the way colors appear!
8) Read as much as you can about the art of beading. Techniques are just as important
to a successful creation as the design or color scheme.
9) Always remember to have fun! The mind is most creative when relaxed.
10) Taste differ: Be creative and daring in your designs, you might not be crazy about
the way a creation turns out but somebody will be!
